COVID-19 Guidelines

The novel coronavirus, COVID-19 has been declared a worldwide pandemic by the World Health Organization. COVID-19 is extremely contagious and is known to spread mainly by contact from person to person. Consequently, local, Provincial and Federal governmental authorities recommend various measures and prohibit a variety of behaviors, in order to reduce the spread of the virus. 

Due to the recent roll-out of vaccinations and the subseequent loosening of restrictions in certain provinces, we have decided to update our guidelines to set the standard of certain provinces with the least restrictions on social distancing. These amendments are fluid and may change over time depending on case numbers.

Cuddling Comfort Lounge and its members commit themselves to comply with the requirements and recommendations of National, Provincial and local Public health and other governmental authorities, and to put in place and adopt all necessary measures to that effect. 

Which include and are not limited to the following Cuddling Comfort Guidelines: 

1. Service providers have the right to request proof of vaccination from purspective clients.
2. Wearing of masks  by the service providers and members at all times before, during and after a session, 
3. Washing of hands or sanitizing of hands pre-session and post session. 
4. Clients may not book less than 3 days prior to a session, and ensure that they are free of symptoms.
5. All clients may have their temperature taken by the Platonic Touch Practitioner prior to the session. Clients registering higher body temperatures than 38 degrees Celcius will not proceed with the session. (Refunds may or may not apply.)
6. Both Client and Cuddler will wear clean, laundered clothes. Cuddlers will wear the company shirt. 
7. Do not book a session if you are feeling ill or have any of the currently known COVID 19 symptoms.
8. Keep the same service provider for all sessions during this time.

However, Cuddling Comfort Lounge cannot guarantee that you will not become infected with COVID-19. Further, attending the Activities could increase your risk of contracting COVID-19, despite all preventative measures put in place. We have adopted the Massage Therapy guidelines in order to follow safety measures for our clients and our Cuddlers.

By accepting Cuddling Comfort Lounge’s Services;

• I acknowledge the highly contagious nature of COVID-19 and I voluntarily assume the risk that I could be exposed or infected by COVID-19 by participating in Cuddling Comfort Lounge’s activities. Being exposed or infected by COVID-19 may particularly lead to injuries, diseases or other illnesses.
• Due to the unpredictability of the Pandemic, I further acknowledge that Cuddling Comfort Lounge may have no other choice but to cease its operations at a moment’s notice and all scheduled sessions would be cancelled. (Refunds would apply.) Certain activities may not be available or be cancelled at a moment’s notice.

• I declare that I am participating voluntarily in Cuddling Comfort Lounge’s activities.

• I declare that neither I, nor anyone in my household, have experienced cold or flu-like symptoms in the last 14 days (including fever, cough, sore throat, respiratory illness, difficulty breathing).

• If I experience, or if anyone in my household experiences any cold or flu-like symptoms after submitting this declaration, I will not attend any of Cuddling Comfort Lounge’s activities, programs or services until at least 14 days have passed since those symptoms were last experienced. 

• I, nor has any member of my household travelled to or had a lay-over in any country outside Canada, or in any Province outside of my home Province, in the past 14 days. If I travel, or if anyone in my household travels, outside our home Province after submitting this declaration, I will not attend any of Cuddling Comfort Lounge’s activities, programs or services until at least 14 days have passed since the date of return.

• I agree to the requirements and recommendations of National, Provincial and local Public health and other governmental authorities and to those special safety regulations put in place by Cuddling Comfort Lounge as it pertains the Covid-19 Coronavirus and to adopt all necessary measures to those effects.

• I agree that, by agreeing to the terms and conditions set out above, I am engaging in Voluntary Risk and forfeiting my legal rights to pursue legal action against Cuddling Comfort Lounge, its officers, directors and service providers, in the event that I contract the Covid-19 Coronavirus.

This document will remain in effect until Cuddling Comfort Lounge, as per the direction of the national, provincial and local government and health officials, determines that the acknowledgments in this declaration are no longer required.

This document is in addition to and does not replace all other Cuddling Comfort Lounge’s, policies, terms and conditions, agreements or waivers.
